2012 Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

The Greater Waco Aviation Alliance is awarding scholarships to outstanding students in Region 12 pursuing a degree in aviation/aerospace or a related engineering program from Texas State Technical College Waco, Baylor University or McLennan Community College. The minimum amount per scholarship will be $1,000.

With more tha1,000 aviation companies within a 500-mile radius an nd a central location in the heart of the Texas manufacturing and technology corridor, Waco is a prime location for the aviation industry. Three regional airports utilized for commercial, business and general aviation serve the Waco area. Waco lies just 90 miles south of Dallas/Fort Worth, 90 miles north of Austin and 180 miles northwest of Houston. The Waco Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) covers 1,000 square miles, with the Waco corporate limits encompassing 85 square miles.
